View the outcrop model at the page linked above, which also provides the locations where close-up images and samples came from.
Note that the model may be slow to load depending on computer processing power. The outcrop images below provide similar geologic information, but the close-up locations are only on the models.

Jacob's staff is 1.6 meters, with 10 cm increments
To navigate the close-up photos, look for the sample number in the caption and locate the corresponding number in the 3-D model (Oak Park 2).

Hand Samples
The hand samples and thin sections provided here are from Oak Park 1; they are equivalent to beds in Oak Park 2. To navigate the hand samples, look for the sample number in the photo caption. That number corresponds to the thin sections that follow. The equivalent sample site, shown in close-up here at Oak Park 2 (and on the 3-D model), is noted in bold for each sample.
Oak Park Sample 1-2 (equivalent to Oak Park 2, near close-up 3)
To navigate the thin sections look for the sample number in the photo caption. That number corresponds to the hand samples shown above, which are linked in turn to the close-up photos. Some hand samples are represented by more than one thin section. Notice that thin sections are shown in multiple magnifications. PPL = Plain Polarized Light. XPL = Cross Polarized Light.
